Troubadour Interactive got its start in 1995 with the publication of Fateful Lightning: The American Civil War on CD-ROM. The next several years saw the release of two more discs, Quest for Empire: The Napoleonic Wars and Born in Battle: The American Revolution, the latter receiving Library Journal's Best Reference selection for 2001.
       Now available online, Fateful Lightning and Born in Battle are joined by Grindstone, a work of historical fiction by Donna Walsh Inglehart. Based on a little-known Civil War spy ring operating in Canada, this haunting and suspenseful novel about an Irish immigrant girl and a Southern conspirator provides fresh insight into the "defining moment" of American history.
